-
after you have formatted the hard
drive it is ready for installation
-
before you turn on you computer
make sure the windows start-up disk is in the computer
-
you will have a menu on the
computer and you'll select "2 start computer with cd-rom support"
-
type in "2" and it will take it a
few minuets to boot up
-
as the computer boots you'll see
that it will tell you the drive letter for the cd-rom this is
important because you'll need to know this letter to install
windows from the cd
-
once it's ready you'll have an
"A:\" on the screen
-
first you'll type in "E:\" and
press "enter" (or if you cd-rom is a different drive letter than
this type that letter instead of "E")
-
now you'll see "E:\" on the
screen type in "setup" and press "enter"
-
it will first run you through a
disk scan so you'll hit "enter" to continue
-
once the disk scan is done it
will run through a surface scan this isn't something that needs to
be done unless you know of a former problem
-
when it's done you'll want to
press "x" not enter to exit the scan program
-
it will automatically start the
installation process
-
the rest you'll just follow the
instructions it gives you there are just a few things you want to
know
