Setting up your e-mail in
outlook express
-
open your outlook express it is
the letter envelope with the blue arrows around it

at the top of the window you'll
click on the "tools"
-
then in that menu you want to go
to "accounts"

in the dialogue box that comes up
you'll want to click on the "add..."

this will bring up a wizard to
help you set-up your account
-
the first screen is you name or
the name that you want to appear when you write to someone
-
in the next screen it's you
actual e-mail address
-
if you account is a hotmail
e-mail address it will have a screen that is already set for your
account so just hit "enter"

if your account is a
pop3 account the next page will
ask you what your
pop3 and smtp addresses are

aft you set-up this you'll put in
you account name and then the password
Trouble shooting
if you don't know what you
smtp or
pop3 accounts are normally they are
mail.your isp.com mail.your
isp.net
smtp.your isp.com mail.your
isp.net
this can also fix mail sending
problems from an outside account some
isp's don't allow you to sent to an
outside
smtp so you can use your
isp to sent you mail it will not be
able to store you mail so you don't want to have it as your
pop3 settings
